Scribe at the 2018 Leading Edge Conference

Our Sales and Marketing Manager, Sarina Gale, has spent the past three days at the Leading Edge Conference in Hobart, representing Scribe Publications and meeting our wonderful booksellers.

This conference brings together publishers, authors, suppliers, and booksellers from across Australia where they meet and discuss the future of bookselling, hear amazing keynote addresses, guest author presentations, panel discussions and attend author speed-dating. There is also a trade show where publishers and suppliers to bookshops have a stand where they talk about their forthcoming titles for the year.

The trade show was followed by the Indies Book Awards of 2018. Warm congratulations to Fullers in Hobart who won Metro Bookstore of the Year, Torquay Books who won regional Bookstore of the Year, Penguin Random House, Publisher of the Year and Text Publishing for Small Publisher of the Year.
