Joel K. Bourne Jr shortlisted for PEN Literary Award

Award-winning environmental journalist Joel K. Bourne Jr has been shortlisted for the 2016 PEN Literary Awards for his book The End of Plenty: The Race to Feed a Crowded World.

Looking at the farmers and scientists on the frontlines of the green revolution, the book takes readers on a journey from the family farm to international agricultural hotspots, searching for solutions that can sustainably feed the planet.

Nominated for the E.O. Wilson Literary Science Writing Award in the literary nonfiction, physical or biological sciences category, Scribe wishes Joel the best of luck.

Winners will be announced on 11 April 2016 in New York City.
