IMPAC shortlist announced next week

The IMPAC shortlist will be announced next week and we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for the three Scribe authors who made it to the longlist: Amy Espeseth for her acclaimed debut novel, Sufficient Grace, Riikka Pulkkinen for the ‘haunting, mesmerisingly written’ True, and Gerbrand Bakker (who won the IMPAC in 2010 for The Twin) for The Detour.

The IMPAC prize is one of the richest literary prizes, with prize money of â‚¬100,000. Books are nominated for the Award by public libraries in cities throughout the world – making the Award unique in its coverage of international fiction. You can find out more about the prize here.
