Damien Lovelock is probably best known as the singer and songwriter for The Celibate Rifles. However, he has also been covering football, as a freelancer, for over twenty-five years for JJJ, Vega FM, SEN Sports Radio, ABC Radio and TV, and most notably SBS TV's The World Game, where he brings a unique and often hilarious perspective on the beautiful game.
His writing has appeared in Inside Sport, Soccer Australia, Rolling Stone, The Sydney Morning Herald, and The Age, and he is the author of Soccer: Great Moments, Great Matches. He lives in Sydney.
